began shortly after I started my photography business then called Heart & Hue Studio. At the time, I was burnt out from shooting fast-paced mini sessions and spending hours editing photos to make them look flawless. I missed the joy of composing a photo slowly and carefully.
So, I decided to start over again and immersed myself in the world of film photography, found a brilliant photographer online, asked her to be my mentor, and began rediscovering my art.
Today I use film to connect with people and make honest works of their stories. I believe your portraits should be made for you, and not for anyone else. If you feel a tug towards untraditional photographs, I would be so honoured to work with you.
my journey into film photography
I see the world differently now that I’m a mother and I seek to bring this into my work.
Motherhood has taken me to heights I never thought possible and gets me lost often.
I’m learning to surrender to the process of growth and celebrate the moments in-between and I want to help you do the same. I want to help you appreciate what’s unfolding around you with imagery that artistically captures the coexistence of the beauty, comedy, and tragedy of life.

when I’m not photographing
you’ll find me in the kitchen cooking for potlucks with friends, thrifting, introverting with my hubby, learning to sew, and trying to keep up with the pile of laundry at home (an impossible task in my household, how about yours?).
